Saturday 17/5: ”From poverty to riches”

09h Collect from hotel/accom (coach) (after breakfast) Travel to Southwell – splendid small town

10/10.15h Tour of beautiful Minster (45 minutes) plus World War 1 Exhibition

11.15h Sandwiches/drink at pub (walk from Minster?)

12-13.30 Visit “The Workhouse” – see how the poor were looked after by the parish in 19/20th century

13.30h Travel to Thoresby Hall View Thoresby Hall – see how the rich lived, their home and gardens

Options : glassblowing demonstration by President of RC Nottingham; stroll in grounds; shopping in courtyard boutiques; military museum

15h English Afternoon Cream tea in sumptuous surroundings

16.30h Travel to hotel/accom Saturday Evening 18.45/19h Collect from hotel/accom (minibus/private cars?) for evening event

19.30-23.00 Wild West Night A great evening of fun, games, dancing and BBQ Yes – it’s fancy dress – come as a cowboy or any character from the Wild West

09.30h Depart hotel/accom (after breakfast). Travel by cars to

10.30h Falcon Inn (near airport) Coffee and meeting to exchange formal greetings, share current activities and dreams of each club, learn about Rotary Action Group (RC Maldegem project)

14h Depart – farewell, au revoir, until we meet again
